I have been called to Buffalo again. Flew in last night. Mar-Mar has been moved to Hospice and her time of parting is near. I am relieved to have made it in time to hold her hand or her tiny body in my arms for a last farewell. She has been amazingly strong. We thought we had lost her in January but she held on for another six months.
So for now, join me in wishing Mar-Mar a safe passage in this last part of her life-journey.
How strange. It is exactly this time, this week, four years ago that Charlie died. In the same place.
And I’ll write again soon.
Much love to you, Tamar. I will be holding you in my thoughts.

I'm writing to thank you. I find in your writing a courage and strength that make me feel that there are others who value that sort of thing. It is helpful to know this. I wish you well.

You're in my thoughts, Tamar, as I know I've been in yours.
