Aphorisms, says James Geary, should be personal, brief, philosophical, challenge us to think, and not necessarily make us happy, like some of today's quotations or sayings.
There were some I really liked:
The difference between a rut and a grave is in the depth
Life consists of what a man is thinking of all day
Enjoy yourself because you can't change things anyway
... and then ... this ... I loved the best ...
Trust in God but tether your camel first
Interesting. I need to get that book!
