I once knew Nimrod Sumner. I thought about him today. He gave me this picture 34 years ago. It has accompanied me to the New World and beyond.

Yes, so much of a quality life is about listening--to others, to the environment around us et al. Though I am not practicing now, I am a spiritual director--or spiritual companion, and I have long gone to a beloved director. It's all about listening, about feeding back.
