First things first. I need to water the plants, work out, clean the litter, and book a flight to Israel for the summer. All has to be done and prepared before I leave for Denver this afternoon. However, the blog has been beckoning to me for a few days even though it knows just how preoccupied and busy my brain has been with other things. Not to mention the meetings, classes and grading that takes up the rest of the spare time!
"What is in Denver?" you ask.
"Board meeting and conference," I reply. I am not presenting this time so I will get to relax a bit. Perhaps visit Colorado Springs. There are some duties and obligations I will perform. Being on the Board of the NCCCC there is always much to do. I can't wait to see old friends and familiar faces. We are bound to have a lot of laughs, great dinners and a few glasses of wine between us. Just the e-mails back and forth so far have been a blast.
My faithful old laptop will be accompanying me because I will be gone all week. So, who knows? Between the grading, Board obligations and having fun, I might find a few moments here and there to blog about this or that.
I shall miss Ada and Molly, Molly and Ada. T. has promised he will take care of them really well while I'm gone. Leanne will come and visit them too ... just in case ...
As preparations ensue I feel those deep, old feelings arising within. Anxiety of separation. I know, I know, it is I who am leaving, but there is this little cry in the bottom of my throat that wants to call out with a squeak and a wail:
"Please don't leave me!"
Safe trip! Enjoy! We'll be here waiting...

Thanks everyone! I arrived finally - after big delays and high winds and a bumpy ride. Great to have you all with me. Cosy!
Leanne ... you know what you have to do! Smiles.
