Wish we had a link to hear your son's group. Looks like one of the type jazz groups I especially like.
If they haven't, they should cut a CD, even if they have to pay the costs themselves. They can have them for sale at their performances. There is some precedent for this in the jazz music world of today.
Wonder if jazz is his first love, traditional jazz or other, and if he plays other genre's, too, including classical?
