Now here are some real Ambler Angels ...
Aren't they gorgeous?
And, yes, they are standing right at the steps to the entrance ... forty years later than Hayley though ...
I just had to stop and look at the Mary statue in the grounds ...
... even though we were freezing and my Angel-Mobile was waiting to take us to Agave for margaritas, quesadillas and such.
Oh, and the movie? FABULOUS! I mean I could have become a nun at the end. I am especially grateful to Danny, who gave me the very tips that I needed to thoroughly enjoy the movie. Winston, you were right. It was wonderful to see it with a group of women. We all wept softly at the right places and yelled with raucous laughter at all sorts of things that dug deep into our young womanhood memories.
Philadelphia has become warmer. Am so grateful for my new friends who made the day so much fun ... and very, very tasty too.
Anya,
Thank you. What an interesting way of looking at energy and nurturance. And always wonderful for me to know you are reading my blog and keeping close in that way.
Ah, Paris Parfait! How lovely to hear from you again. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Well, Danny, what can I say? You were clearly with me in my mind as I was watching the movie and visiting the site. I always feel a teeny bit guilty writing about movies with you so close by : ) I don't think I have seen Henry Orient ... so I will check with my movie buddies about this one! Oh yeah, and I usually hate sequels because they are often such a disappointment, so I would never consider a sequel to "The Trouble with Angels." Russell was a jewel!

An unrelated comment: A friend recently said to me- as we were walking side by side, that each step you take, you push negative energy into the earth, releasing it from your body. And what you bring back up with you is pure nourishment from the earth. Rejuvination. I wanted to pass it along to you.

Oh what fun! One of my favourite movies and what a treat to see the original location with good friends!

Cool, I remember that statue from the movie! Didn't you love Roz Russell's closing line? But DON'T rent the horrible sequel, "Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows." Have you ever seen "The World of Henry Orient?" Great movie from that time period, also starring two madcap teenaged girls. You might need to make that your next group screening.
I'm man enough to admit that I love those chick flicks!
